About Lynsey
Lynsey trained as a person-centred therapist but works as an integrative therapist in private practice. She is also a fully qualified teacher and works part time as a counselling lecturer. She has a strong interest in relationship and sexual diversity especially sexuality, polyamory and other consensual non-monogamy relationships. She is also kink knowledgeable and brings openness and non-judgement to her work with clients.
Training and Experience
Lynsey began counselling in 2018 at Community Solutions in Accrington which is a vibrant and thriving community charity. On placement here Lynsey worked with a diverse number of clients with a variety of needs from self-harm, suicide ideation, trauma and addiction. She then went on to work with Place 2 Be counselling both secondary and primary aged children through play work alongside talking therapy. Lynsey also runs her own private practice and has successfully worked with a variety of issues including:
- Anxiety and depression
- Addiction
- Suicide and suicide ideation
- Self-harm.
- Trauma.
- Sexual assault.
- Sexual identity.
- Bereavement and loss.
- Loss of identity.
